Silver Star awarded to 1st Lieutenant Smiley. This medal is awarded to pilots who survive each frame of an S3 event. This medal is one of the most prestigious medals to be award. Surviving each frame is by far the most difficult aspect of the S3 events. I'm pleasantly surprised that four of our new members were able to accomplish this difficult task in their fist S3. Even more remarkable is the fact that dslick and smiley have accomplished this twice.
