Awarded for gallantry in action, the Silver Star is more commonly awarded in organized scenarios but may also be earned in formal missions.

This award is amongst the most difficult to earn. The pilot who receives this award claimed at least 1 kill during the event, and more importantly survived every frame. The following people have received this medal.

Captain Yamon for flying and surviving 15 sorties with and destroying 2 enemy a/c destroyed.

Silver Star with Two Oak Leaf

Captain Yamon is awarded this medal (again<G>) for surviving all 5 frames, while claiming 3 enemy bandits destroyed.

Silver Star with Three Oak Leaf

Captain Yamon is awarded this medal for destroying 5 enemy a/c throughout 5DJ without losing his aircraft
