1st Lieutenant 'Bond'
(-bond-)
31st Fighter Group

Age: 43

Residence: Mahtomedi, Minnesota

Occupation: Bond Underwriter (20 years)

Marital Status: (Carrie) (24 years) Wow, what a woman!

Started Warbirds: October 1998

Both Carrie and I are native Minnesotans and would never dream of living anywhere else. We love living here in "Fly-over Country". We have two children, a son, Ian 15 (Football, Basketball) and a daughter, Devon, 12, (Music and Softball). I am also active in the community, coaching youth baseball and basketball teams, and administrating the LAN at our church. In addition, I hunt, golf and PLAY Warbirds. Here are a couple of interesting facts about me. My first year of college I ran a 10.1 second hundred YARD dash. Carrie and I played in a professional rock band during and after college. I have acted and done a number (maybe 6-7) of amateur musicals with Carrie who is a wonderful first soprano. I play bass guitar and I can sing a little too. Two years ago I was involved in a hunting accident (32 miles out into the middle of the superior national forest) and was shot from 10 feet away. I applied first aide to myself and I survived! My doctors unanimously dubbed me "The Toughest Guy They Have Ever Met". Ya right. I have two legs left, but I can only feel one of them (makes rudder control a challenge). I still hunt with my Vizsla, Jazz, so the fall is a particularly busy time for me. I participate in Warbirds for the FUN and relaxation (It certainly beats TV).

Greatest WB strengths. hmmmm... I fly alot? I am great at dragging?

Greatest WB Weakness: Gunnery.

I fly WB for the comraderie but I am not comfortable flying against squadmates. Therefore, while I like the concept of the WWIIA, I do not like the numbers imbalance that results.

My motto: I'd rather be lucky than good (and I have been both!)
